Samantha Lundy: I'm 31 years old. I have already invested 4 years or so into my college education, some of which I have attended the graphic design program at ACC. Recently, I have decided to change direction in career. I am now planning on achieving a bachelors degree in elementary education. The political classes I am currently taking are required for this degree.

I'm liberally minded but politically skeptical of our government. The results of the "Where do you fit quiz?" confirms that I'm a "Liberal", but I admit that in the past I haven't been extremely involved politically. In the year 2000, I decided to voted for George W. Bush which in hind sight, I considered to be a mistake. So in 2004, I voted for Kerry because I felt strongly that Bush's term needed to end. I admit that I don't always keep track of current events and that my political knowledge is not up to par. I hope that this class will improve my knowledge about the way our local government works. Eventually, I would like to have the confidence to become more socially and politically involved.
